Glenda Lim

Glenda was called to the Singapore Bar in 2018.

Glenda graduated from the Singapore Management University in 2017 and was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore in 2018. 

Her practice spans a wide range of contentious and non-contentious matters. She has been actively involved in civil and commercial dispute resolution, ranging from multi-party to cross-border disputes. These matters include personal and corporate insolvency, matrimonial disputes, contentious probate proceedings, breaches of directors’ duties, shareholders’ disputes and family violence proceedings.

Matters of significance in which Glenda has been involved in include the following:

  • Acting for management corporations in suits against developers, contractors and sub-contractors.
  • Acting for management corporations in matters relating to breaches of duties and compliance with statutory obligations.  
  • Acted for a director in respect of disputes between two directors in the High Court, with issues including the removal of a director in a two-director scenario, breaches of director’s duties, the construction of the Articles of Association and derivative action under section 216A of the Companies Act (Cap. 50). 
  • Assisted in applying for an injunction in the Singapore High Court to reinstate a director of a company as well as to restrain the co-director from acting unilaterally. 
  • Assisted in an application for an individual voluntary arrangement in the Singapore High Court with debts amounting to S$300 million. 
  • Assisted in a highly contentious and complex cross-border divorce with issues including variation of orders and relocation. 
  • Assisted in successfully defending a subsidiary proprietor in a defamation action against another subsidiary proprietor in a management corporation.
